Frequently asked questions

How Long Does It Take You To Make A Plushie? How Do You Price Your Products?

It depends on the size of the final product, size of the yarn we use, and complexity of the plushie. A small plushie can take from 1 to 4 hours. A large plushie can take 3 hours to several days! Typically, the thicker the yarn the quicker it is to make. A smaller product decreases time verses a bigger one. A less detailed one also decreases time. Our product pricing and custom order quotes takes this all into account, so if it takes longer than estimated the price will not change!

What Is The Difference Between Crochet and Knitting?

It can be confusing initially because both art forms use hand tools to create knots with yarn. The key difference is that someone who crochets uses one stick and someone who knits uses two! A crochet stick is called a crochet hook and the knitting sticks are called knitting needles. The differing methods allow an artist to create different types of pieces based on the style. Knit pieces are more stretchy and can mold to a person (especially for clothing). Crochet has stiffer stiches that hold a 3d shape better (especially for plushies). Crochet can not be replicated by a machine but there are knitting machines out there that can replicate some knitting stitches out there. I make all my premade items by hand.

How Do I Take Care Of My Order?

For premade plushies & keychains, please only handwash the surface gently using a damp cloth with a tiny bit of hand soap. Then leave out in the sun to dry. Each clothing purchase comes with care instructions based on material and build of the piece to best preserve it.

If you want to take care of a crochet or knit piece from elsewhere, a good general rule of thumb is to wash with room temperature water (handwash is ideal), squeeze out water and lay flat to dry. Do not hang piece, fold instead when storing to prevent sagging.

If you have a clothing piece made of yarn that snags, send me an email or Instagram photo and we might be able to fix it (we love sustainability).
